Scott Yancey

Having grown up in a home where his grandfather was a successful “real estate guy,” Scott Yancey has been able to recognize the perks of being involved in the industry. “I started going to open houses with my grandpa, I don’t really remember what we were doing, but I remember there were sweet rolls and bagels, and he’d open up all these houses on the weekend, and I’d go around with him; it was a good time.” Later in life, when Scott went off to college, he got a job with a real estate development company, where he found a mentor in his boss Walter J. Plumb III. At first he was just a runner, going here and there to collect documents, maps and odds and ends, but one day Walter pulled him aside and suggested that he get his real estate license.
